2-5 JULY 2020 De Bergen Wanroij

Festival Info

Mandala is different. It feels like a holiday with the cosiness of a camping, this in a wooded area with in the heart of it a beautiful lake surrounded by perfect beaches.

The extensive 100-hectare campsite is being built by artists, benefactors, entertainers and artists in more than 20 different ‘Tribes’, each with its own charm.

There is music, art and theater, but also games, wellness and a lot of colorful entertainment. On Mandala, festival and camping are one. A tent can be placed almost everywhere. Go, stand and sleep where you want. Discover our Tribes, enjoy the music and meet our Creators

Clean & Green

We love our planet and the festival grounds of De Bergen, Wanroij. Mandala is all about harmony, nature and taking care of it. We ask this of our Creators and visitors too. So please take care of your trash, take home your camping gear and throw your cigarettes in disposable ashtrays.

And on our part? We separate the waste, have a deposit system on our drinking cups and work with a sustainable power plan. The crew is eating food waste, just as good and tasty! Our caterers are working more and more with organic meat. Also, we made a plastic promise, to tackle the use of plastic at our festival.

And of course: we are not there yet, but we try to take steps every year towards a completely Clean & Green festival!

Drugs and weapons are not allowed. Upon entrance you might be searched extensively. Upon refusal you will not be allowed entrance. Caution: Mandala has a zero tolerance policy on drugs.

Smoking is permitted, but be mindful of the environment. Do not throw your cigarettes on the ground but put them out and throw them (extinguished) in the garbage bins.

Although we love them all, it’s not allowed to bring dogs, whales or other pets and animals to Mandala.

Do not be lazy and walk a few meters to throw your garbage in the appropriate bins. If you throw it on the ground, it is bad for the environment and we deem it illegal.

Violence and intimidating behavior is not tolerated. This includes discrimination, sexual intimidation or wearing provocative clothing (soccer jerseys for example).

Drinking is fine! But drink responsibly. Drunk visitors will be removed from the grounds. This also goes for medication.

Yes, that is allowed! Keep in mind the opening times of our entrance. Furthermore, you only need to purchase a parking ticket once! Take note: it’s not possible to leave in the meantime with a caravan or camper.

Mandala aims to be a beautiful, fun and trash free festival – where you feel free and safe – and where you are able to do things you love the most. We understand that when you’re visiting Mandala for 3 or 4 days, you would like to bring a bit of food. For this, we introduce the Mandala Food Bag. Please note: it’s only allowed to bring food (so no drinks) in the Mandala Food Bag in combination with a 3 or 4 Day Pass (18+).

With the Mandala Food Bag, we prevent plastic bags from lying around. It also speeds up the security check when arriving at the festival. At Mandala camping and festival are one, so – just like at any festival – we have to put a limit on the amount of food you can bring. We ask for your understanding.

The Mandala Food Bag (worth €10) comes for free only with a 3 or 4 Day 18+ Pass.

At Mandala there is a supermarket accessible for visitors. Also, there are loads of amazing food trucks and caterers including vegetarian and vegan options. Be sure to try a few (or all) of them! You won’t be disappointed.

Our food trucks offer a broad menu that take allergies into account. If you have any questions regarding allergies (or other questions!), don’t hesitate to contact us: [email protected]!

Please take notice: it’s not allowed to bring food when you visit Mandala for two days or just the Sunday.

Yep! At our toilet buildings you will find water points for free drinking water.

We do our best! We separate the waste, have a deposit system on our drinking cups and work with a sustainable power plan. The crew is eating food waste, just as good. Our caterers are working more and more with organic meat. And of course we are not there yet, but we try to take steps every year towards a Clean & Green festival!

Mandala is, as it were, a blueprint of the infinity of existence. Our festival is shaped from this ancient wisdom. So: not only we take each other into account, we also look after our environment.

Because we love our beautiful festival site! Together we enjoy the beautiful nature, the woods, the lake and the lovely beaches. That’s why Mandala is a trash free festival!

What does that mean? Together with you, we ensure that the entire festival is trash free. To achieve this, we are faced with a circular economy. So: sustainable production, sustainable use of materials and recycling instead of mountain residual waste.

More than welcome of course! We try to make the terrain as accessible as possible. However, the site has a beach and forests, so we can not guarantee that every corner of the site is equally accessible.

The Kids Hostel is for kids from four years and older! Children can stay overnight at the Kids Hostel, including tent, program and breakfast. Look for additional information at Accommodations! Look for additional information at Accommodations!

You need a parking ticket to park. You can find these under the heading ‘tickets‘. Are you leaving the premises in the meantime? No worries, your parking card remains valid. If you come with the caravan or camper, you also need to park your car in the parking lot for safety reasons! For this you also need a Parking Ticket.

At the first aid it is possible to pump!

We have several photographers and filmmakers at Mandala for film and photo registration. By entering the festival you automatically give permission for registration and use of media by Mandala, media parties and partners.

Need medication? No problem, but be sure to bring a doctor’s certificate or medication passport.

You can find the first aid next to the main building at our festival.

Mandala is built by numerous Creators who together form various Tribes. Do you want to participate? Every year we open the registrations. You can register via the registration form.

On Mandala a tent can be placed almost everywhere and you can take it yourself! Do you prefer not to drag with your tent? We have different accommodations for rent. Just as easy! You can find them under the heading ‘Accommodations‘.

We love ‘m, but dogs or other pets are not allowed.

Drugs, fireworks, (fire) weapons and dangerous objects such as spray cans and gas bottles.

Food can only be brought if you have a 4-day ticket or a 3-day ticket. You can only bring food with the Mandala foodbag. It is not allowed to bring drinks, glassware, water bottles, cans, (folding), selfie sticks, offensive clothing (including motorcycle clothing, full colors, football shirts), umbrellas and parasols.

Making a fire and fireworks are strictly forbidden because of safety reasons. Please also take care of your cigarette butts and don’t throw them on the ground. We’ve got free portable ashtrays!

Very important! Earplugs can be obtained on site. Especially for the ears of the kids this is important, make sure they are not right in front of a speaker!

You can find our program and line-up under the heading ‘Tribes & Line-up‘.
